I don’t know about you, but in our meeting last week one of the things we discussed were what counts as a liquid. It was made clear that ANYTHING counts as a liquid (that is, any beverage) except for alcoholic beverages.
This week, the substitute leader was back. She was a bit better but I can’t wait until our regular leader gets back from her vacation. Anyway, substitute leader told us about a question that someone had during a different meeting last week.
A MAN (yes, a MALE PERSON) asked if NON ALCOHOLIC BEER counts as a liquid. She threw the question out to us and asked what we thought.
I immediately piped up, “Non alcoholic beer isn’t a BEER.”
I might have added on at some point during the conversations, “and a GUY asked that question? and he wasn’t embarrassed? Seriously, I would rather just keep my mouth shut than admit that I drink non alcoholic beer.”
That comment MIGHT have been laughed at with HUGE nods of agreement from the men sitting around me…and from across the room…and maybe a few women also laughed along with us.
So, lessons learned from this week’s meeting:
1. Non alcoholic beer can be counted as a liquid, but who would even admit that they drink it anyway, so it’s really a non-issue.
2. The people in my meeting, they have great senses of humor and easily put up with my sarcasm…I like them more and more each week.
So, has anyone even tried non alcoholic beer? And if you have, really? Could you enlighten us as to the reasons behind it? Because for me, if it ain’t beer what’s the point?

Regular beer doesn't count as a liquid?????
No wonder I have been stalling out. DUDE.
Non-alcoholic beer is much like decaffeinated coffee. Many people think it is pointless, however, if you love the taste of beer (not just the effects of beer) but for health or personal reason's can't or don't drink beer, then the non-alcoholic beer is great. I will happily admit I have drank it before. I don't drink alcoholic beverages any more (reasons are my on, and I don't care if you do), but I LOVE the taste of beer with pizza or Mexican food, and this is a good alternative for me. But if you only drink beer for the buzz...then nope, it's definitely not for you. But that's just me.
